Blackmore, a growing environmentally-aware printer, has announced two new appointments to provide better service and pricing to its nationwide list of clients.

The role of commercial director has been awarded to Simon West, whilst Nigel Hunt has been promoted to production manager.

Blackmore said their roles will help keep service levels continually high whilst the company looks to acquire additional print companies as part of its group expansion plans.

Simon West, a Blackmore employee for over 13 years, will oversee the estimating and customer service teams as part of his role as commercial director.

Nigel Hunt, who originally started working for Blackmore as an apprentice in 1988, will be taking over control of the production function of the organisation.

Blackmore's sales director, Aubrey Aviss, said: "This is great news for the company but most importantly our customers.

We are 100 per cent committed to providing the best possible service and pricing to existing and potential clients and these top level appointments will help us achieve that.

These guys have an enormous wealth of experience and we're really excited about working together to deliver fantastic print services, whilst minimising our impact on the environment." The company said it specialises in cold set web and promotional print and holds the ISO14001 Environmental Standard award.

It is also working towards the FSC accreditation to promote responsible stewardship of the world's forests.

Balckmore is part of the T H Brickell group of companies, which has a combined turnover of GBP12 million and employs 110 staff.
