New Bobst Diecutter Helps Boost Printer's Capacity
Print finishers Pro Lam has placed an order for the new Bobst Commercial 106 diecutter, a machine that was launched at Ipex 2006.
Bobst said that the Lemanic Delta is designed to satisfy the printer who has always wanted a Lemanic Riviera but has a limited production volume.
The Lemanic Delta is said by Bobst to provide the opportunity for offset printers to differentiate themselves in the market by selling gravure quality.
The result is increased quality and a flexible system combined with decreased cost of finished cartons.
Using the in-line process, the Lemanic Delta starts from reels of board, which are printed in multiple colours and converted with either an in-line rotary die-cutting for long run lengths of standard carton sizes, or in-line sheeting for high added-value applications of shorter run lengths.
In each case, cartons are delivered in finished stacks, all with automatic defect detection.
Bobst added that the Lemanic Delta follows its philosophy that the printing and converting line is fully integrated from one supplier.
