Bobst Group in the UK is celebrating the sale of its sixth Commerical 106 diecutter to companies in the commercial print sector.

The machine, launched less than a year ago, has found favour with both commercial printers keen to keep margins in-house and with print finishers.

Stuart Taylor, UK product manager for Bobst diecutters, said that the sales success of the Commercial 106 reflects the increase in demand within commercial print for diecut products.

He commented: "These six customers are using their Commercial 106s for everything from plain scoring through wallets, folders and greetings cards to direct mail and promotional products." Commercial printers have traditionally relied upon cylinder machines for die cutting but, said Taylor, today's markets demand a different solution.

Taylor added: "Our Commercial 106 can run a huge range of substrates at high speed.

That means users can run everything from paper, through carton board and plastics to laminates and even corrugated.

Its speed and versatility have attracted customers in these numbers because, with a Commercial 106, they can tackle a huge range of jobs and turn work around quickly." The six companies to have installed the Commercial 106 to date include Anton Group, the Essex (UK) print and direct mail firm and Pro Lam, the Rotherham print finishing and lamination company.
