Part of the company's One software suite, Transformer 8.1 is said to add new functions to make it easier for users to encode data for unique document identification, prepare files for dynamic finishing and regenerate files as needed for closed-loop processing.
Roger Spitzig, president of Bowe Bell and Howell's business solutions division, said: "The new release includes several major enhancements that make Transformer easier to use and increases the speed and efficiency of mailing operations.
We continue to invest our resources in bringing the best products to market that meet the needs of direct mailers of all sizes." The latest release also offers integration with the Bowe Bell and Howell's One postal data management software, postal data preparation (PDP).
The combined system is said to open the door for customers to apply the power of PDP to their legacy print applications.
As such it is claimed to be suitable for address cleansing and general list maintenance to improve delivery performance of every direct mailing, together with USPS-certified pre-sort software to earn discounts on postage and reduce overall costs of direct mail production.
