Inkjet Ink Claimed To Be As Good As OEM Version

A Bordeaux Digital Printink product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Aug 21, 2007

Bordeaux Digital Printink said it is successfully installing its Prime Green PgJ5 inks, compatible with Mimaki JV5 inkjet printers, in several production sites worldwide.

Prime Green PgJ5 ink is the first product in the Prime Green range, which was launched at the FESPA exhibition in Berlin (Germany).

The ink's performance is claimed to be equivalent to the Mimaki system's original ink in terms of jetability and drying time and it is said to have reduced odour.

The switch-over from the original eco ink to Bordeaux is said not to need any flushing procedure.

"Through our distributor network, Prime Green PgJ5 ink has already been installed on hundreds of machines and we expect to keep this high pace of implementation," said Moshe Zach, chief executive officer of Bordeaux Digital Printink.

Amnon Shalev, the company's product manager, explained: "The new Prime Green PgJ5 ink has perfect jet-ability properties, no clogging or deflection and it is compatible with a wide range of coated and uncoated media.

Our clients are impressed with the fast drying capability, which contributes to faster printing, high productivity and to producing vibrant, vivid colours.

Prime Green PgJ5 offers excellent print quality and durability but perhaps most importantly, the inks don't contain any harmful defined solvents and have minimal odour for comfortable working environments." And Moshe Zak continued: "In parallel to Prime Green's market acceptance the Prime Eco family has obtained official recognition as being the best compatible product to the original Eco-Sol Max ink from Roland".

Zak claimed: "We are encountering a more open attitude from the customers towards this product.

Most of them received a free trial kit from us at FESPA and in most cases they decided to continue with Bordeaux Digital Printink's Prime Eco ink because of its stability and its easy switch-over process." Bordeaux Digital PrintInk products are available in various types of packs - one litre Bottles and 220ml and 440ml Cartridges.

The inks are also accompanied by a proper chip set, ICC profile and are in conjunction with common RIP and substrates.
