Burcas has been appointed UK agent for Kimura steel paper-cutting knives, which are available from stock held at the company's West Midlands location.

The knives complement Burcas's existing range, which includes standard steel and tungsten carbide knives and extends the choice available to UK customers, including end-users and re-grinding companies.

Kimura tungsten laminate knives are said to be particularly effective for use with computerised, high-production machines that demand improved knife performance and reduced downtime.

The paper cutting knives are manufactured so that the laminated steel is wider than the reset in the cutting machine, therefore many of the knives have two or three rows of holes, said Burcas.

Kimura knives are said to offer low regrinding costs and, if reground correctly, will maintain their straightness throughout their usable life.
