The British Coatings Federation (BCF) is joining together with partners in the processing and manufacturing sector to form Proskills.
The new streamlined board is tasked with ensuring that CEPE's central policies are delivered in all member countries in a harmonised way, better utilising existing resources in the associations across Europe.
To achieve that, the board's five members, representatives from the British Coatings Federation - BCF, the French Paint, Inks and Adhesives Association - FIPEC, the German Paint Association - VdL and the German Printing Ink Association - VdMBI, will meet every month and report activities to the main board.
Moira McMillan, commented: "As one of the better resourced national trade associations, BCF is delighted and honoured to accept this important new role.
We are keen to assist CEPE achieve its aim of being the leading voice on all EU coatings issues and are looking forward to working with our international colleagues for the benefit of all our members." The first meeting of the operational board agreed a framework on working procedures.
