The British Coatings Federation (BCF) has welcomed three very different new companies in to membership.

The British Coatings Federation (BCF) has welcomed three very different new companies in to membership.

Two of them have joined as full members, Environmental Seals and Colour-Therm, whilst Foscolor, has become an associate member.

BCF's chief executive officer Moira McMillan commented: "In these difficult times more and more companies are recognising the benefits of belonging to a trade association, such as access to technical support and participation in lobbying activities." Of those companies, Foscolor has been involved in the development and manufacture of pigment dispersions, colourants and masterbatches since 1966.

The company offers toll processing and its products are used in a range of applications including printing inks.

Foscolor managing director, Stan Jones, explained his reasons for joining BCF: "As the coatings industry is becoming an increasingly important market to us, it makes sense to become better known in the industry, which we can achieve through associate membership of the BCF.".
