The BAPC's European Funded initiative in the West Midlands area of the UK is gathering pace with more printers and members of the creative industry taking advantage of free help.

The BAPC's European funded initiative in the West Midlands area of the UK is gathering pace with more printers and members of the creative industry taking advantage of the free help available from a team of business experts.

The organisation said that with assistance covering a variety of key issues including increasing profit margins, customer retention, marketing, adapting to change, improving efficiency and competitiveness those in business are recognising the benefits available.

Ken Wright, one of the consultants involved said: "When I first started working on this project I found a great deal of cynicism and reticence to participate.

However, when people realised that there were no catches, no hidden charges and no ulterior motives other than the desire of the BAPC to provide real relevant and sustainable help, the demand for assistance snow-balled.

Businesses are now finding that they can really benefit from our involvement and appreciate that sometimes you do get something for nothing." Sidney Bobb, chairman of the BAPC added: "We have been pleasantly surprised at not only the level of requests for help we have received but also in the short time since the scheme started, the impact we are beginning to have on the industry in the West Midlands.

Such has been the positive reaction to our efforts that we have every hope that we can expand the initiative to other areas.".
