The BAPC has appointed Kerry Button to consult with the association's members on their future growth and development.

Button, a former executive with Canon and Duplo, is said to be well versed in the issues affecting printers on a day-to-day basis.

In addition to his member consultancy role, he will also be involved with the team dedicated to helping suppliers to BAPC members develop a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing their customers.

Button's appointment is the latest step in the BAPC's mission to grow and develop as an industry body by providing a wide range of valuable services to members.

BAPC chairman Sidney Bobb commented: "We have been looking for an individual with the right industry credentials to fill this critical strategic role within the BAPC, so we're delighted to welcome someone of Kerry's calibre on board.

His background gives him expert insights in to the technical and commercial challenges facing commercial printers and print-for-pay businesses, so we know he will be a great asset to the organisation, its members and those who supply the industry." Commenting on his new role, Button said: "I have long admired the work of the BAPC and what the organisation has achieved for its members.

Having been given a privileged view of the association's future plans, I'm really excited to be joining a dynamic and progressive team whose clear focus is the success of those involved in the graphic arts industry.".
