Nip Measuring System Enhances
Productivity
What is claimed to be the first instrument to measure the contact width (nip) between two rollers, Diginip is now in stock at BFS Pressroom Solutions.
Diginip is said to be suitable for use on long machines, or perfecting presses and that it is simple to use and is supplied with a protective carrying case Providing measurements in millimetres, or thousandths of an inch, Diginip was introduced to the UK printing market at the Newstec exhibition in Brighton
The hand-held device can be used on sheet-fed, or rotary machines and it has two individual sensors to provide accurate readings across the length of the rollers, said BFS Pressroom Solutions.
Diginip is claimed to improve productivity by up to 50 per cent more, whilst saving time and simplifying press set-up.
It is also said to eliminate the problems of doubling, creeping, slurring, clogging, registering and mottling.
