Buhrs Americas will feature the Buhrs 3000 film wrapping system - a mid-range film wrapping machine rated at 15,000 pieces per hour - at Graph Expo 2008.
John Ricketts, managing director of Buhrs UK, said: "The UK is one of the most important markets for Buhrs and we have a large established customer base here already, including Communisis, Polestar, St Ives, Real Digital International, Howitt, Pensord and Formpro Mail Marketing." Buhrs UK has won new contracts worth GBP3 million from new and existing customers and has taken on five new members of staff.
It is also anticipating an office move to new premises in Basingstoke this autumn.
Ricketts added: "Buhrs systems are not only the most robust and reliable on the market, they are also more flexible due to advanced servo technology.
Customers can change between jobs quickly, for instance swapping between a C4 and C5 envelope application can take less than 15 minutes.
Whilst many installations are reliant on total mechanical changes to move between jobs, our programmable servo drives deliver complex jobs faster and more efficiently.".
