Buhrs said it will be celebrating is centenary at Drupa 2008 by introducing developments in envelope inserting, polywrapping and paper wrapping systems on its stand, C46 in hall 16.

Five Buhrs lines will be running to give visitors the opportunity to see improved productivity for mailing houses, service bureaux, printers and print finishers through higher yields with smaller labour forces, via systems that eliminate jams, errors and defects Those systems will also run at higher speeds, improve process integration and mean that less time is needed for inspections, set-up and job change-over times

Buhrs said it will exhibit refinements to its BB7000 flagship product, including a new channel input device, whilst the BB300 will be demonstrating selective assembly plastic card processing, including a new turning device.

The Buhrs 4000 is claimed to be capable of 100 per cent faster paper wrapping at up to 36,000 copies per hour, which is said to be suitable for personalised mailings.

The PPS-30K postcard inkjet personalising, addressing and sorting system will also be on show, as well as software for mailroom management capable of monitoring and analysing up to 50 envelope inserting systems at different locations.

Adrian van der Klooster, Buhrs' president, commented: "The applications offer concrete proof of the benefits our lines can provide by raising net output per hour.".
