Poly-Wrap Improves Profits At Mail And Print Firm
Two Buhrs 4000 poly-wrapping lines have replaced five Sitma machines to achieve greater effeciency, open new business opportunities and improve profitability at Formpro MM.
The company said that its RF2 Rotary Feeder and HF2 Vacuum-Friction Feeder - which are on show at Drupa - are capable of processing a variety of materials and can both be added or removed for use in different positions.
The HF2 Vacuum-Friction Feeder, in particular, is a servo-driven feeder that is said to be capable of processing a wide variety of enclosures, such as Z-folded products, booklets and rigid products, as well as CD ROMs.
The RF2 Rotary Feeder features a suction-gripper mechanism, blasted air, as well as separation needles that ensure perfect product separation.
Buhrs has also introduced its new SF2 Shuttle Feeder that is designed to handle thicker and heavier products, such as catalogues, annual reports and heavy inserts.
All of the feeders that are being used with existing Buhrs BB600 envelope inserting systems, or mobile Buhrs CS400 collating devices, can also be used together with the BB700 16K.
Therefore, claimed the company, the new system helps protect the value of current investments in equipment, as well as providing new possibilities for currently installed equipment to be utilised.
That applies not only to the feeders but also the modules of the BB600 System that are found after the sealing section (the turnover belt and removal bin, for example).
John Ricketts, Buhrs UK's managing director, explained: "Over the past 100 years Buhrs has carved out a reputation for innovation and the introduction of the BB70016K pushes the boundaries back once again.".
