Buhrs Preventative Maintenance Agreement and an Extended Warranty are being launched at the Drupa 2008 exhibition.
At the show, Buhrs is offering a free health check to users of BB300s and BB600s systems so they can experience the benefit and relevance of the new Preventative Maintenance Agreement without obligation, said the company.
The health check includes a full day's inspection of the system by a trained Buhrs engineer, with a written status report provided.
According to Buhrs Preventative Maintenance Agreements are a cost-effective way to reduce unexpected failures and enhance Buhrs' engineering.
The agreements include a periodic inspection of Buhrs lines, check and diagnosis procedures and detailed reports, as well as a five per cent discount on parts and labour.
As part of the service Buhrs' qualified specialists will check lines' set-up and make any necessary adjustment to ensure optimal performance, as well as identifying any issues to remedy, said the company.
Buhrs added that it anticipates that the service will be particularly attractive for those customers that do not have a dedicated engineering team on-site.
Buhrs' Extended Warranty option provides second year cover on all its new product lines.
The company said that the Extended Warranties are designed to be not comprehensive but competitively priced and they will constitute a full parts and labour warranty.
Consumable items, such as suckers, for example, are not included.
Customers that opt for an Extended Warranty will also benefit from the Preventative Maintenance Agreement which is included in the price.
At the same time Buhrs has invested in improved stockroom and refurbishment facilities at its new Basingstoke (UK) headquarters to ensure faster turn-around on refurbished parts and spares direct from UK stock.
John Ricketts, Buhrs' UK managing director, explained: "We understand that line failures can incur penalty clauses, loss of face and reputation.
Whether a company is a small letter shop, a large direct mail house or a transactional service bureau we have created options suitable for all our customers.
The new service and refurbishment facilities will mean a better, faster and more reliable service by certified Buhrs engineers, who work in tandem with our customers." He continued: "The Preventative Maintenance Agreement gives peace of mind to any customer who wants to ensure he or she is getting the most out of the investment in our equipment.
We're aiming to ensure that our lines are always running at optimum rates and any wear and tear issues are identified before they cause a problem, breakdown or delay, which could have an impact on the delivery of a job.".
