Linomedia is expanding and exploits new markets for Punch Graphix systems.

Linomedia is expanding and exploits new markets for Punch Graphix systems.

An example of that development is the new sale to Datapons, of Skopje, for the purchase, installation and support of a new Basysprint UV-Setter 541 system.

Datapons has vertical production in pre-press, printing and finishing departments and now, with the Basysprint UV-setter 541 CTCP, the company is using CTCP for direct digital imaging of offset printing plates.

The traditional imagesetter of the company will remain mainly as a backup for production peaks.

With the Basysprint 541, the company can extend its customer base and enter new markets with applications such as commercial printing, labels, stocks and packaging, for instance.

The claimed simple handling of the 541, along with its automation provides continuous unattended production.

The Basysprint CTCP incorporates the patented DSI2 technology and can produce up to 15 610mm x 860mm plates per hour, claimed the company.

The UV-setter can load and image plate up to 940mm x 690mm with maximum thickness 0.55mm.
