Infigo Web2print allows online print control

Windsor Print has expanded its range of services and increased revenue since introducing Bytes Document Solutions' Infigo Web2print.

Paul Lyward, managing director of Windsor Print, said: 'Recently, we recognised the growth opportunities of web to print.

'Business cards are the traditional starting point for many, they then progress to using Infigo for the production of more complex documents such as direct marketing, flyers, and posters.

'Our repro team creates all the templates and they can then go to the web and make any changes before sending the document to print.

'Each client gets a secure log in and password, allowing them access to their own part of Windsor Print's server where they can both send or retrieve any of their files at any time.

'This useful and versatile facility not only gives additional archiving to clients but is free of charge.

'Our clients get a simple design package and a fast and effective way to manage their print requirements.

For example, a retailer with 70 high street branches around the UK required branch business cards printed with each location together with a range of appointment times.

In the past, thousands were printed up front and stored.

Now the cards are ordered from one central point when they are needed so there is no waste.

Another customer is a management training company specialising in team building.

In the past, when the company developed a new course, the process of making changes and proofing could take many days.

The company has now installed the Infigo print driver at its office.

Windsor Print creates the original template and the client can now edit and print direct from its PC.

The job is delivered within 24 hours.
