Colenta Wide Track Processors Praised By Users

A Capix product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Aug 25, 2005

Lea Valley Colour of Hoddesdon, Herts, took delivery of its second Colenta Wide Track 140 RA 125 digital processor from Capix just under two months ago.

Busy photolabs and reprographics companies are reliant on today's technology to keep their businesses running smoothly.

With tight deadlines to meet, downtime costs money and puts reputation at risk.

Helping to avoid such concerns, the Colenta range of wide-track processors distributed by Capix, available for RA4 print/Duratrans for both digital and conventional applications, has earned its place as an industry standard.

Graphic design and exhibition stand construction company Lea Valley Colour of Hoddesdon, Herts, took delivery of its second Colenta Wide Track 140 RA 125 digital processor from Capix just under two months ago.

"We'd had our previous Colenta machine for 15 years, and although it was still operating, the time had come for a replacement," said Lea Valley print operator Steve Goodall.

"Basically, it's a workhorse, and everything we produce goes through it".

"It is a nice machine and has caused us no problems".

"We did review all our options at the time, but with the Colenta we knew what we were getting, and we got the best deal on this".

For Clearview, another graphics company involved in exhibition design and build and modular display equipment, the 140 RA 95 is a first purchase.

"We have recently installed the new Durst Lambda 131 + HS - the first in the UK apparently - and Durst recommended the Colenta processor to us," said Patrick Heyfron, Clearview's managing director.

"We took delivery just over a month ago, and it is going just fine".

"We are particularly pleased with the Capix service and excellent support personnel".

All Colenta Wide Track models are microprocessor controlled and provide a fully automatic dry-to-dry service for both cut sheet and long roll up to 200cm (79ins) wide through a well-proven minimum contact hard roller transport.

The 140 RA 95 system as used by Clearview has a throughput speed of 95cm (37ins) per minute, while Lea Valley Colour's 140 RA 125 processes at 125cm (49ins) per minute; both of these models print up to 140cm (55ins) wide.
