Cambrian Printers, the Aberystwyth (Wales) printing business, has appointed Doug Gray as its new operations director.

Gray, who joins Cambrian Printers from Kent-based ESP Technologies Group, has practical experience in the printing industry, having worked his way up from shop floor to boardroom level.
Credited with creating and implementing innovative personnel development projects at his previous companies, Gray is hoping to transfer those skills to Cambrian Printers, said the company.
He commented: "I'm a big believer of nurturing skills within the workforce and I'm aware that Cambrian is fortunate to a have a team of locally-based, dedicated and loyal staff.
I hope I'll be able to contribute constructively to the further development of the company." Gray took his first steps in the printing industry as an apprentice and was quickly promoted to management where he oversaw periods of transition for some of the UK printing and publishing companies, including namely Hunter Print, EMAP and Thanet Press.
He also took on industry appointments, such as the deputy chair of the Kent region and board member for the south east British Printing Industry Federation (BPIF).
Robert Read said: "Doug has a proven track record of business and people development and we're confident that his fresh approach will be of a significant benefit to the competitiveness and efficiency of our business.".
