Cambrian Printers was identified as environmental pace setters as it hosted the Inside Welsh Industry event.

Manufacturers wanting to make their operations more environmentally-aware were given the chance to see how the printer achieves success.

The day, which focused on the sharing of good practice with other Welsh companies, saw visitors meet with the senior management team to discuss how Cambrian Printers has been able to develop economically and environmentally.

Robert Read, Cambrian Ptiners' chairman and anaging director, commented: "We were pleased that the Welsh Assembly Government considered us as an example of good practice and asked us to hold the Inside Welsh Industry event at our premises.

We've been able to show people how we conduct our business and how important the environment, training and technology is to the development of our company." David Phillips, Wales Quality Centre chief executive, said: "To remain competitive in the global economy it is vital that Welsh firms continuously improve their knowledge and gain insight from best practice.

Inside Welsh Industry is a valuable way to share expertise and build contacts with other businesses, opening the door, in many cases, to new commercial opportunities." The Inside Welsh Industry event was funded and managed by the Welsh Assembly Government, provided by the Wales Quality Centre and supported by the Wales Management Council.
