It had conducted extensive independent customer research with many leading digital print businesses across Europe during the previous two-years.
As a result of its findings Canon has formed a team of digital print marketing and sales specialists, including several leading experts, said the company.
As well as providing print hardware to the industry, Canon's business solutions arm would offer expert consultancy services to add value to and support core print business through consultancy and maintenance services and by providing the most appropriate software applications and hardware devices.
Petteri Koli, head of professional solutions at Canon Europe said: "Canon's new approach to the professional print market will ensure that by listening to the customer we maintain a competitive edge, as well as continuing our growth in other areas, like expanding the high speed colour and monochrome production ranges.
We also believe that it is not just about providing hardware, it is also about understanding business needs and offering the best solutions and consultancy to the customer.".
