Canon UK said it has beaten its sales targets for Ipex 2006.

Canon UK said it has beaten its sales targets for Ipex 2006.

The milestone was reached even before the end of the fourth day of the eight-day event, where over 15 Imagepress C7000VP production engines were sold to a range of customers from across the UK and Ireland.

Canon said it saw 15,000 delegates visit its stand to see the Imagepress C7000VP, as well as other products from Canon's professional portfolio, of which 75 per cent were making their worldwide debuts.

Adam Poole, marketing manager for professional solutions with Canon Business Solutions, said: "Ipex 2006 was a record-breaking show for Canon.

Our Imagepress range of print engines and our new Imageprograf large format printers have been the talk of the show as resellers have ordered record number of LFPs.

Customers also flocked to sign up for the IR7105 due to its finishing options." He added: "Additionally, our new range of workflow systems also formed a key part of every deal.

Last week we challenged Ipex visitors to 'see digital differently' by coming to take a look at what Canon has to offer and we certainly achieved this." And he continued: "The buzz around the stand was tremendous and we've been delighted by the positive reception for our on-stand consultancy and one-to-one customer advisory programme.

Ipex 2006 has seen the arrival of Canon in this marketplace, but it's just the beginning.".
