Canon's Announces New Digital Press
Availability
Canon UK showcased a range of technologies and announced the UK availability of the new Imagepress C7000VP during Northprint 07.
Visitors to the show also had the chance to view what Canon has described as its flagship Imagepress C7000VP, as well as C1 digital colour engines, CLC colour, Imageprograf large-format printers and high-volume monochrome products A range of proprietary and third-party software could also be previewed

Canon Links Digital Press With Heidelberg System
Canon Europe yesterday announced that it will collaborate with Heidelberg to develop connectivity between Canon's Imagepress C7000VP digital press and Heidelberg's Prinect Digital Print Manager.
Ben Milford, head of professional at Canon Business Solutions, said: "Northprint is incredibly important for Canon, as it's the only UK exhibition this year that's dedicated to the professional print industry.
It sits between Ipex and Drupa and gives us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to the industry with the latest addition to our portfolio of leading systems." Canon also provided taster sessions of its Essential Business Builder Programme, which were held by independent industry commentators, as well as presenting a preview of the company's new JDF-compliant workflow software - iW Prepress Manager (iWPPM).
There was also the UK introduction of the latest version of Digital Storefront web-to-print software, in conjunction with EFI, together with a preview of a high-end, PDF-based, digital workflow software, EFI Fiery Central.
