Digital Book Production On Show From Canon

Canon UK will demonstrate short-run digital book production on its monochrome production systems and colour personalisation on its light production and colour machines during Digital Print World 2007.

The company will also exhibit a range of software for web-to-print, colour management and variable data printing applications during the show.

On stand 130, Canon UK said it will invite visitors to see its Imagepress digital printers, including the C1 and C7000VP, as well as CLC colour - such as the CLC5151 - Imageprograf large-format printers, high-volume monochrome products and other software.

That software will include IW Pre-Press Manager, Uniflow, EFI's Fiery Central and Digital Storefront, as well as Objectif Lune's Planetpress.

Ben Milford, Canon Business Solutions' head of professional, said: "Digital Print World is the UK's only dedicated digital print event, so it's an incredibly important place for us to do business.

By showing customers some of the applications that digital enables we hope to provide them with new revenue making opportunities." He added: "Since the last DPW, Canon has gone from strength-to-strength with the launch of the Imagepress C1 and C7000VP, as well as the opening of our dedicated professional print showroom at our headquarters in Reigate.
