To achieve professional quality output, both machines come with Posterartist software, which is compatible with Microsoft applications.
The software is claimed to enable customers to create posters and signage without expert knowledge, by guiding users through the process of designing and printing posters in five steps.
As a result, the solid image consistency and text reproduction give posters produced on the Imageprograf LP17 and LP24 the appearance of professional print output.
The Imageprograf LP17 and LP24 are said to provide borderless printing and each have an economy printing mode, which helps to reduce print costs.
An LCD screen and quiet operation are also claimed to ensure ease of use and a comfortable working environment.
The machines also produce reliable, high-quality colour prints, with the LP17 printing A2 documents in 20 seconds, whilst the LP24 can produce A1 prints in 33 seconds, each at a resolution of 1,200 dots per inch (dpi) added the company.
For those companies wanting to produce posters with an artistic finish both devices can use a range of suitable substrates.
Shane Burchett, Canon UK's large format print product professional, commented: "Posters are a strong communication tool.
They're easily visible and can help convey information.
When trying to attract attention or inform customers, employees or students, professional-looking posters in vivid colours are a great tool to assist in delivering your message."
