Caslon has launched the Foil-Tech automatic foil and therm-o-fusing machine designed to supersede manual foiling.

Caslon has launched the Foil-Tech automatic foil and therm-o-fusing machine designed to supersede manual foiling.

Foil-Tech is a compact machine that uses a method of bonding that attaches the foil to a toner image printed by a copier machine or laser printer.

This eliminates the need for engraved dies, skilled operators and lengthy set-up times and Caslon believes it is ideal for a variety of printed matter especially business and greetings cards.

The machine could also accompany the Caslon's Zip-10 Desktop Business Card Slitter.

Caslon believes products such as Foil-Tech are playing an important role in its diversification through providing new specialised products aimed at its established markets.

That effort has also seen the company develop associations with companies in the US and the Far East.

In the last two years, Caslon has also moved from its long-standing London address to a modern plant in St Albans.
