Caslon will be exhibiting thermography machinery and powder, diestamping technology, card cutting equipment, foiling machines, numbering equipment, booklet makers and trimmer, creasers and round cornering machines at Ipex 2006.

Ipex 2006 sees the European launch of the latest version of the NSF A3+ high speed foiling machine, which features a Windows XP processor at the heart of its operating system.

With an integrated touch screen the machine is claimed to be easy to operate and can now feed sheets in excess of A3.

Using the NSF A3+, customers can produce foil stamping, blind and foil embossing, or die cut products at claimed speeds of up to 5,500 impressions per hour.

The new Zip21 SRA3 card cutter has been enhanced to now register from a printed registration mark, and not the lead edge of the sheet.

Visitors to Ipex 2006 will be the first to see how that improves cutting accuracy and overcomes the problem of image drift from the printer, said Caslon.

Software changes have increased the production speed by nearly 50 per cent, it is claimed and the machine can process laminated stock that has been produced on a roll.

The Autopro12 card cutter is the latest addition to Caslon's range of card slitters and it will be unveiled in Europe at Ipex 2006 cutting 10 up cards from an A4 sheet.

Quick set up and size changes with easy registration adjustment are claimed to make the machine suitable for today volume card producers.

The Autopro12 uses proven technology to run at claimed speeds of up to 50,000 finished cards per hour, whilst still maintaining the best finish on all four edges of the end product.

The Foiltech range of sublimation foiling machines is now said to be able to laminate as well as produce foil effects from tonered images.

An option can be fitted to allow the standard and professional models to run double sided lamination, which combined with the Zip21 allows the production of foiled and laminated cards.

Caslon is now marketing the Thompson range of offset perforating, scoring and slitting rules.

The rules are designed to eliminate off-line finishing and speed up production by enabling perforating, scoring and slitting to be run at the same time as printing.
