Newly Independent Direct Mail Firm Targets GBP70m

A CDMS product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 2, 2008

CDMS, the direct marketing and database services business, which is now forecasting annual turnover of GBP70 million, is now independent after separating from its parent group, Shop Direct Group.

The development follows an increase in turnover for the year ended April 2007 to GBP29 million, up from GBP18 million the previous year.

The company now has its own board of controlling directors and CDMS said that the restructuring will facilitate further development following the revenue increases it has experienced over the last two years.

CDMS manages customer and prospect communications, from sourcing, conditioning and cleaning data, through to multi-channel campaign management and execution.

Services also include prospect pool and customer database management, analysis and insight, as well as campaign management.

The company said that its performance includes success in the governmental, leisure and financial services industries, as well as with clients such as Betfair, MBNA and Nationwide.

The company added that it also experienced 25 per cent growth last year in its work with the public sector.

CDMS's managing director, Stephen Clark, said: "The significant investment in people and technology we have made over the past 12 months means that we are in a position to provide one of the highest quality, bespoke managed services available in the direct marketing industry.

This is an exciting time because our new independent status will be a key factor in facilitating further growth through direct access to investment and growing the data and communications propositions.

Over the next year we also aim to identify and secure acquisition opportunities to accelerate our growth.".
