CETI System, in collaboration with pre-press company, Blaze Creative, has developed what it claimed is a new low-cost system for on-line approval, flat planning and job tracking.

CETI System, in collaboration with pre-press company, Blaze Creative, has developed what it claimed is a new low-cost system for on-line approval, flat planning and job tracking.

The system enables publishers, advertisers and pre-press companies to track the origination of advertisements and pages through the production processes via standard web browsers with no extra software.

Production and editorial teams are able to upload pages, advertisements and copy instructions directly in to the system, as well as view pre-flight comments, download PDFs, approve pages and view a flatplan of the publication.

The system also logs the actions performed on each page and advertisement for reviewing at any stage.

The system operates on a web server at the production or pre-press facility and can integrate with existing workflow systems, said CETI.

There are also plans to launch a hosted service aimed specifically at publishers.

They will be able to upload, view and share their pages in a flatplan as well as copy chase, upload, and proof advertising, added the company.

The system will operate on a monthly charge basis with no software required by the publisher or advertiser.
