Security print specialist Checkprint has signed a new technology partnership with Rugby (UK) based Eiger Systems.

Security print specialist Checkprint has signed a new technology partnership with Rugby (UK) based Eiger Systems.

The partnership will provide businesses with a flexible and efficient remittance advice facility to support their BACS payment processes when utilising the new BACSTEL-IP submission process said Checkprint.

The deal will lead to the delivery of Eiger Systems' BACSTEL-IP solution, Eigerpay Gateway, combined with the Checkprint Solution, a fully secure, integrated remittance generator, as a single offering.

Checkprint, part of the Tall Group of companies, is one of the UK's suppliers of secure print services.

Eiger Systems is a developer of validation and payment services for automated banking and e-commerce.

"This will enable users making payments through BACS to benefit from a secure, highly functional and innovative remittance system using email, fax or paper.

Until now, organisations making payments through BACS have not had the opportunity to validate successful transmission of funds prior to routing electronic or printed confirmation to recipients.

Generating e-mail remittance advices can deliver significant cost savings and improve the overall efficiency of the BACS payments process," explained Martin Ruda, managing director of Tall.

Checkprint said it has developed a series of software and hardware secure print products to achieve a significant growth in business.

Last year, Checkprint signed a technology partnership with Solchar to jointly promote another new product - the Banking Assistant - which helps businesses work with their bank to improve reconciliation and audit control of cheque deposits.
