The annual Queen's Awards are split into three categories - outstanding achievement in international trade, innovation and sustainable development.
Checkprint has already collected a handful of awards over recent years.
It is shortlisted in the innovation category of this year's Leicestershire Business Awards having won the Success Through People Award in 2002 and been a finalist the previous year.
It also made it in to the Sunday Times Top 50 'best SME companies to work for' in 2004 and won two of the categories at the Regional Business Awards in 2003, which took it through to the finals of the National Business Awards in that year.
