Cheque Printing Software In At Investment Firm
UK security printing and services specialist Checkprint has won a contract to supply Rathbone Investment Management with its cheque printing software - the Checkprint Solution.
Claire Rutherford, TUI's retail accounting manager, said: "This system ensures that our branches never run out of supplies of credit slips whilst also releasing staff from the task of doing manual checks on stock." She added: "A digital statement from our bank details deposits made during the previous day's banking and this information is combined with the unique numbering on the specially printed credits from Checkprint.
This allows the auto-replenishment system to calculate the daily number of credit slips used and current stock levels for each individual branch and triggers an order when the pre-determined re-order level is reached." TUI, formerly known as Lunn Poly, Britannia and Thomson, is amongst the first companies to benefit from the new system, which is just one of a range of payment systems developed by Checkprint, which is a member of the Tall Group.
The Tall Group is the country's leading printer of special cheques and credits and also specialises in electronic document distribution and secure print software.
The group works for many of the UK's leading banks, building societies and over 70 per cent of the FTSE top 100 companies, supplying special cheques and credits and auto replenishment systems.
It has also introduced the Checkprint Banking Assistant, which is said to enable companies to capture and track cheque payments, recording all key details in an easily retrievable and secure image archive.
Martin Ruda, Tall's managing director, said: "Whilst there has been a decline in the demand for cheques we have developed innovative secure print systems to enable us to meet our customers' needs as they make the shift to electronic payment systems.
These systems appeal to a wide range of businesses who deal with a large volume of payments or credits, particularly as more emphasis is put on fraud prevention and the need to maintain clear audit trails.".
