Clarifoil, the makers of films for packaging uses, has expanded its range of Clarisol water soluble films.

Clarifoil, the makers of films for packaging uses, has expanded its range of Clarisol water soluble films.

Clarisol is a cast polyvinyl alcohol (PVA/PVOH) water soluble film aimed at the growing market for soluble pouches and sachets of liquid and powder products.

New additions to the range are a cold water soluble film suitable for standard detergents, cleaning chemicals and some agricultural chemical products and a hot water soluble film for tapes and hot water soluble packaging.

A further hot water soluble film in clear and white backgrounds is also now available for hot water soluble labelling requirements.

Clarisol low temperature water soluble films can also be produced in a range of special functions and colours, as the company said it will work with customers to develop bespoke products.

Clarisol is a cast film, which Clarifoil said provides better uniformity and quality consistency than extruded soluble films and which is suitable for a range of uses, such as detergents, cleaning fluids and pharmaceutical products for home consumers and industrial operatives, where requirements are for convenience, delivery of measured doses and easy handling.

Additional production facilities have been installed at Clarifoil's Spondon, Derby (UK) plant to produce Clarisol and the product is marketed worldwide utilising Clarifoil's established technical support resources.
