Clarifoil, the specialist producers of cellulose acetate lamination and window films for carton packaging, has developed a new Ultrawhite lamination film aimed at personal care and cosmetics uses.

Clarifoil, the specialist producers of cellulose acetate lamination and window films for carton packaging, has developed a new Ultrawhite lamination film aimed at personal care and cosmetics uses.

Developed by technicians at Clarifoil's research and production base at Derby (UK) Ultrawhite is claimed to respond to the personal care and beauty market's demand for extra whiteness of finish and also benefits from Clarifoil's 'dry touch' tactile appeal, said the company.

Clarifoil Ultrawhite is manufactured with one side brilliant gloss and the other side satin matt finish so carton producers and laminators can choose which effect they wish to feature.

The new film is said to embody all the environmental benefits of Clarifoil's standard acetate films, being manufactured from biodegradable woodpulp sourced from managed, renewable forestry and compatible with paper and board for recycling purposes.

Free sample Ultrawhite cartons and information are available from Clarifoil at the company's website.

Clarifoil commercial director, Gordon Willins, said: "Retail trends indicate consumer preference for an extra white finish on packaging of personal care products.

New Ultrawhite lamination will be of interest to carton designers aiming to capture this strong sector of the market.".
