Large Scale RIP Controls Range Of
Digital Formats
Centrally controlled large-scale format digital printing, proofing, film production, photos and fine art is now said to be possible with Colorgate's new v5.01 Production Server.
Described by Colorgate as an universal RIP system for all applications, the latest Production Server is claimed to be the first large-scale print RIP system to use Devicelink technology In addition to ICC colour management, it is also said to be 'future-proof', even for the most demanding proofing

A facelift of the user interface ensures a better workflow, like the completely new online help feature, the white-print support and the optimisation of the container function or the horizontal tiling.
Colorgate added that many of the latest drivers - Epson, Canon, HP, Mutoh, NUR Expedio 3200/Revolution - are supported in Production Server 5.01.
The new print monitor uses the software to display ink quantity, status, colour calibration and functions to eliminate the need for the page view on the printer's web browser interface.
In addition, Colorgate has provided three different upgrade packages for Production Server 5.01, including the Ultimate, which has a full range of features, including Profiler and Express Profiler Module for four printing systems.
Another package is Pro Select, whilst there are also new v5.01 special editions for specific printing systems, such as the HP Designjet 8000, the Mutoh Valuejet and for Roland systems.
Version 5.01 of Production Server will be demonstrated in Cologne (Germany) on the HP stand at Maclive Expo from November 15 - 18 and at the Druckwelt Show at Colormy, a Colorgate sales partner, from November 15 - 17.
The product can also currently be seen at Viscom Italy until November 10.
