Compose System is teaming-up with Presstek at Digital Print World 2006, taking place from October 17 - 19 in London (UK).

Located on stand 240, Compose is demonstrating Express Workflow handling all pre-press operations for CTP and digital printing applications, integrating with the range of Presstek DI press and chemistry-free CTP systems, such as Dimension and Vector.

Visitors can also see demonstrations of Star Proof V5, the dot proof system for inkjet printers, producing contract proofs at up to a claimed resolution of 200 lines per inch (lpi).

Star Proof is claimed to be a true dot proofing product for producing 200lpi contract proofs on inkjet printers.

With its Actual Dot system to replicate original screening and dot patterns at proofing resolutions, Star Proof is also said to provide proofs with a hard dot, sharp images, accurate colour and fine details just as they will appear on the press.

And with ROOM proofing architecture to resemble the same set of high resolution separations that are sent to the plate setter and image setter, Star Proof is said to ensures data integrity between proof and print.

Compose System's Express Workflow is claimed to provide reliability and efficiency to meet the changing demands of today's pre-press industry.

At its heart is the Compose Express RIP's version of the Harlequin RIP.

A pre-press workflow system, Express Workflow is said to combine practical functionality with ease of use, ensuring integration and smooth data delivery between all processes in the customer's pre-press workflow.

Express Workflow is also said to optimise and automate the production process and ensures data integrity, whether handling PDF or pure Postscript workflow.
