The Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI) has appointed a new sector body manager for its Recovered Paper Sector Body Based at its Swindon office.

Peter Seggie will be responsible for enhancing the field of recovered paper within the CPI's activities.

With a strong background in the technical aspects of recycling papers and experience in dealing with European companies, it is believed that Seggie will bring a new dimension to the CPI knowledge centre.

Director general at CPI, Martin Oldman, sees the appointment as a positive way forward for the organisation.

"Peter will bring a number of skills into this newly formed position within the CPI.

It is our intention that similar roles will be created for the remaining sector bodies - corrugated, tissue and papermaking," he added.
