Colour Confidence, the independent colour management specialist is to play a central role in the GretagMacbeth Customer Loyalty Programme.

The Customer Loyalty Programme has been launched to allow existing GretagMacbeth Eye-One users to upgrade to the latest technology and receive a discount based on the age of their existing systems.

Customers who wish to take advantage of the Customer Loyalty Programme can visit the Colour Confidence website and order the appropriate system at Colour Confidence's standard web price.

The new Eye-One will then be shipped to the customer and when the old Eye-One system is returned, the customer will be refunded the trade-in value, said the company.

If the existing Eye-One was purchased in 2004 or 2005, users will be entitled to a 50 per cent discount on the new product.

If the purchase was made in 2003, 40 per cent discount will be provided and if a system was bought in 2001, or 2002, 30 per cent wil lbe provided.

The offer is now open and closes on the January 31 2006.

The new Eye-One system is claimed to have improved speed and ease-of-use, whilst now having the capability to measure up to 300 patches per minute.

The addition of a backboard and ruler also makes the Eye-One more user friendly.

Further claimed benefits include the new editing module in the Eye-One match software, allowing users to edit profiles.

All new Eye-One's also come with a soft carry case that accommodates all the components of the Eye-One including the ruler and backing board.

In addition, the new version of the Eye-One will allow users to make the most of the new iO.

The Eye-One iO is an automated measurement table that will provide controlled test chart reading to increase productivity, lower the level of operator skill required, and reduce the risk of errors, thereby ensuring consistent and reliable results with the Eye-One Pro spectrophotometer, said Colour Confidence.

Eye-One iO is said to provide measurements in under three minutes for reflective charts and substrates up to 10mm thick.

Whilst all Eye-One systems are compatible with the iO, the greatest benefits will be derived when it is used with the latest Revision B Eye-One models, that have been available from GretagMacbeth since March.

"The Eye-One has been the most successful, professional level colour management system on the market for some time.

The new version has added good value to the products, bringing a welcome ease of use and enhanced patch reading capabilities.

Ensuring that existing customers can have access to this new product is a fantastic way of saying thank you to customers who have trusted the Eye-One to deliver colour accurate results time and time again," said Geoffrey Clements, the managing director of Colour Confidence.

Colour Confidence has also released a number of seasonal offers relating to GretagMacbeth products, including a 20 per cent discount off an Eye-One Display2 and a free Kodak Colour Management Check Up Kit.

If customers already own an Eye-One Display and are looking to improve their colour management workflow, they can receive a GBP150 discount on buying an Eye-one Photo.

Mike Smyth, UK sales manager at GretagMacbeth, said: "The customer loyalty programme is the perfect opportunity for existing Eye-One owners to upgrade to the new version.

We feel that it is extremely important to offer our loyal and long standing customers a simple and inexpensive upgrade path, so that they can enjoy the superior performance and increased functions of the latest introductions to the Eye-One Range.".
