Colour Confidence has announced that Kosar Kalim has become only the second individual in the UK to be accredited with the EFI Fogra.cert.
As only the second UK company to gain the EFI Fogra.cert, Colour Confidence said it will now be able to offer customers confidence in the installation and use of its Colorproof XF system.
The company added that users can be guaranteed high-quality proofs, the security of a first-class system and the back-up of comprehensive knowledge and professional consultancy.
Attending a training course in Munich (Germany) Kos undertook a two-day course about the installation and calibration of proofing systems to Fogra.cert standards.
Kerry Moloney, sales development manager at EFI, said: "To achieve this accreditation, Kos has shown in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of how to achieve standardisation in proofing systems.
Kos and Colour Confidence will now be able to add significant value to their customers by ensuring their systems are proofed to EFI Fogra.cert standards." FOGRA (Graphic Technology Research Association) is in place to undertake research in to, develop and apply printing technology helping the printing industry use the results obtained.
To this end, the EFI Fogra.cert has been designed to ensure that all stakeholders understand standardisation, said the company.
The objective of the training is to provide the knowledge needed to produce Fogra.cert proofs under specified printing conditions and within specified tolerances.
The process means that customers can have greater certainty, simplified processes and reduced effort, bringing transparency to proof standardisation.
Geoffrey Clements, managing director of Colour Confidence, said: "Colour Confidence has been providing colour managed proofing systems for over 10 years and were one of the first companies to offer the ISO 12647 printing standard.
ten years ago it was enough to visually match the proof to the target simulation but now customers want to prove not only to themselves but also to their clients and suppliers, that standards are being reached, maintained and monitored.".
