The EZcolor with Eye-One Display 2 bundle will be the first system to carry the new X-Rite branding following the company's acquisition of GretagMacbeth last July.
As the product integration process continues, further rationalisation is expected, along with the eventual discontinuation of the GretagMacbeth and Monaco brand names, said Colour Confidence.
Geoffrey Clements, the managing director of Colour Confidence, said: "Naturally we are disappointed that we can no longer offer our customers the EZcolor and Optix XR bundle.
However, we are pleased that X-Rite has replaced this package with a quality system at a comparable price.
The strong reputation of the Eye-One range will also offer increased consumer confidence and we predict a bright future for the EZcolor with Eye-One Display 2 bundle." The Eye-One Display 2 is a monitor calibrator and operating with Eye-One Match software, it creates high quality profiles for consistent, predictable colour, whilst offering 'easy' and 'advanced' modes to suit a variety of users.
An ambient match setting allows users to adapt profiles to different lighting conditions, whilst the 'before and after' option is an instant way to view results, added the company.
Suitable for use on multiple workstations, the Eye-One Display 2 is designed for studios.
EZcolor is a user-friendly system that does not require a separate reading instrument.
Using a flatbed scanner and the IT8 target provided, users can profile their entire system in 10 minutes, said Colour Confidence.
Users scan the target to calibrate the scanner and print and scan a set of test patches to create an ICC profile for the printer.
EZcolor also features profile editing options for greater user control.
The system requires Windows 2000, XP and XP64, or Macintosh OSX 10.2 and above.
