Replacements for a series of Kodak products have extended the checker chart range from Colour Confidence.

Colour Confidence said that the Kodak R-27 Card and Q13 and Q14 Greyscale Guides have been discontinued, with no direct replacements from Kodak Therefore, Colour Confidence has sourced alternatives to all three products

The Colour Confidence Grey Balance Board replaces the R-27 Grey Card.

The twin pack includes reversible cards for grey and white balancing, which are said to be suitable for pre-capture and post-capture colour correction.

The Small Greyscale and Colour Separation Guide and Large Greyscale and Colour Separation Guide replace the Kodak Q13 and Q14 cards, respectively.

Each guide features a 20-step greyscale and 18-colour patches (two saturations of nine colours).

Users can compare tonal values in an original image with its reproduction and check colours within a subject against known printing colours, said Colour Confidence.

A full range of colour checker charts and neutral references is available.

Geoffrey Clements, managing director of Colour Confidence, explained: "We were disappointed to see three popular and useful products leave the market and unwilling to let our customers down.

The importance of reliable, spectrally neutral reference cards and greyscales should not be under-estimated.

Using any piece of white or grey card will not do.

The products we have sourced are scientifically prepared for the guaranteed neutrality professionals demand and we are 100 per cent confident in their quality and suitability.".
