Merger Forms New Pharma Printed Packs Firm

A Copapharm Europe product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 20, 2007

Packart and Rotanotice, which are part of the Copapharm Europe alliance, have merged to form a new pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging producer - Packetis.

Subsidiaries of the French group Ileos, Packart and Rotanotice said they formed Packetis to establish a new force in the printed packaging and labelling sector.

The new company combines expertise from Packart, which specialises in folding cartons and from Rotanotice, the patient information leaflet and adhesive label firm.

The merger has been made in response to current market trends and customer requirements for a global offer of the complete range of packaging components (folding cartons, leaflets, wedging systems and labels) said the company.

It is also intended to optimise commercial, administrative and industrial resources, taking advantage of the expertise of both companies and to reinforce financial resources to accelerate the development of Packetis in France and internationally.

The expertise of each company and in particular the combination of leaflet and carton capability in a product concept, will enable Packetis to offer an original service to its customers, believes the company.

It is also said to mark the foundation of France's number one healthcare packaging manufacturer.

Packetis will continue to work within Copapharm Europe, the 10-strong Europe-wide alliance of pharmaceutical packaging specialists.

A benefit offered by Copapharm Europe is said to be local implantation of alliance members to optimise logistics and customer service.

The blend of leaflet, label and carton supply means Copapharm members offer a comprehensive service as well as shared expertise to increase market coverage and knowledge, claimed the organisation.
