CPG has plans to move from double-day shift to 24 hour working within six months.

CP Graphics has plans to move from double-day shift to 24-hour working within six months, so is investing in equipment to allow it to receive work via the Web and to produce using CTP.

The Cardiff company's £1 million investment includes Web interface software, a Highwater Platinum 2218 metal CTP system, Speedmaster SM 52-5PL five-colour Perfector with coater, Polar 78ED guillotine and Ti52 buckle folder.

The new press replaces an older four-colour GTO within the company's B3 division.

"A fifth colour gives added value in the short-to-medium run market, and with plenty of work on coated stocks, the coater allows us to produce work fast with no risk of set-off and rub in finishing," said managing director Kevan Eveleigh.
