Computalabel said it has developed and marketed barcode creation software since 1988 and was the first company to produce software for creating PostScript barcodes.
The company's managing director, Simon Urquhart, said: "We have found that many independent graphic artists are unwilling to buy dedicated software to create their own barcodes.
They are much happier to buy individual barcodes where the costs can be charged to the job, without any customer resistance." The new Online Barcodes facility includes a free sample service where customers can generate a barcode to their own specifications and file type.
Print trials can be sent to Computalabel for free analysis and advice, giving customers confidence in the quality of the finished results, added the company.
