Colourgen, the exclusive UK distributor for Colorgate, has announced the immediate availability of new products.

Colorgate Proofgate creates legally binding proofs for large format inkjet printers and is the latest version of Colorgate's production RIP.

Lance Britnell, Colourgen's product marketing manager, commented: "In a relatively short time, Colorgate has become one of the most established and popular RIPs in the UK.

These new products are an important addition to the range and include a high quality proofing product as well as a key upgrade to the existing flagship production RIP." Proofgate is a new proofer, suitable not only for digital proofing specialists, but also for creative agencies, publishers and print houses said Colourgen.

It is available in three versions.

Proofgate Entry is claimed to allow users to create high quality proofs via an easy-to-use, intuitive interface.

For users that wish to produce a legally binding proof Standard is the answer said the company, as it incorporates a licensed media wedge for creating standardised digital proofs to industry standards (ISO 12647-2).

Colourgen said that it gives users the assurance of a validated proof.

Profiler allows Proofgate users to build their own ICC profiles quickly and easily to suit their specific media and printing conditions.

Profiles can be built via wizard driven controls.

Colourgen also offer bundles starting at Entry, PC and Epson Stylus Pro, which includes Proofgate 4000.
