We are confident that the two companies will work together very well, combining our product and market knowledge with Colourgen's comprehensive back-up and support.
We are also keen to look beyond the Colorspan range at other products that Colourgen provides, which could also benefit our customers, such as its range of laminators and Epson wide format printers." The Colorspan portfolio of UV-curable flatbed inkjet printers is claimed to now cover a large portion of the market.
At the top end is the Colorspan 9840uv wide format printer is available with widths up to 2.5 metres and substrates up to 70mm thick.
The printer features a roll feed option which, it is claimed, can be set-up in minutes, adding to the printer's versatility.
The UV-curing inks and industrial build quality means the Colorspan 9840uv can print graphics on almost any media, added Colourgen.
More recently, Colorspan has announced the 5400uv Series, multi-functional printers.
These 54-inch UV printers produce images directly on to a variety of inexpensive, uncoated materials, from rigid display boards to roll-fed media, said Colourgen.
It is claimed that customers will be able to increase profitability with the machines as the output will not require laminating or mounting.
Mike Farmer said he is confident that Sun Chemical Screen now has a Colorspan machine to suit every requirement and budget.
He explained: "Our customers' requirements and applications vary enormously from vehicle graphics and estate agent boards to high quality POS advertising and exhibition graphics.
Whilst these applications and markets were traditionally served by screen process printing, the digital process is now very much a complimentary process enabling short run production to be economically produced without compromising quality.".
