Flexo Wet Proofing System Vital To Workflow

A Corniche product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 18, 2007

UK manufacturer of 70 million barrier bags and vacuum pouches last year, Synpac attributes its success to the relationship with Yorkshire repro company Corniche's graphic origination.

Synpac use to produce its printed packaging, and the Corniche Dotmatch flexo wet proofing system for which it was awarded a Queen's Award for Enterprise.

Dotmatch is said to be a successful solution to the problem of accurately reproducing proofs for flexographic printing, which is central to the Corniche-Synpac working relationship, now in its fifth year.

Sheila Webb, managing director at Synpac, said: "We have a business that cannot afford to compromise on quality or deadlines, nor would we wish to.

We must be able to respond quickly to a wide variety of bespoke packaging requirements from both UK and overseas customers." She added: "Corniche and the Dotmatch system play a crucial role in our production workflow, enabling us to produce to the highest quality and meet some very tight deadlines.

Whether we like it or not, we live in a just in time world and companies like ours need the technological advancements that companies such as Corniche bring to this sector.

Those who ignore such innovation do so at their peril." Webb added that Corniche's Dotmatch system is enabling Synpac and its clients to see exactly what end products will look like.
