Ctrl offers Adobe plug-in porting assistance

A Ctrl Publishing product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 1, 2010

Ctrl Publishing, a developer of Adobe Indesign and Incopy plug-ins and workflow solutions, is to offer training and assistance programmes for porting legacy plug-ins to Adobe Creative Suite 5.

Adobe Indesign CS5 brings many new possibilities for integrators and third-party developers, according to the company.

Features such as multi-threading and 64-bit processing enable them to create high-performance solutions.

The threshold for creating advanced Indesign panels has been lowered - in fact, Ctrl said, it is easier than ever to integrate with external systems and services.

However, if a company wants to take full advantage of Indesign CS5, they may need to make significant changes to their plug-in architecture.

Ctrl Publishing can help companies porting to Indesign CS5 jump start their porting project and unleash their system's full potential.

In conjunction with the launch of Adobe Indesign CS5, Ctrl will be offering: two hours of free consultation (online or at the Ctrl Publishing office); 50 per cent discount on code review before porting; and 30 per cent discount on a first assignment (up to 50 man-days).

These offers are available for three months following the CS5 launch.
