Centreprint Gets Bank Backing For Expansion

Kenilworth printers Centreprint UK is pressing ahead with its business expansion plans with the help of almost £1million of funding from Bank of Scotland Business Banking.

Kenilworth printers Centreprint UK is pressing ahead with its business expansion plans with the help of almost £1million of funding from Bank of Scotland Business Banking.

Centreprint has used the funding to purchase new equipment and move from its original base in Hazelhead Industrial Estate, Coventry to larger 12,000 square foot premises on Princes Drive Industrial Estate in Kenilworth.

The deal also included a £250,000 asset finance facility from the Bank of Scotland's Printing and Packaging Asset Finance team, which has enabled the firm to buy a new Heidelberg six-colour press with the capacity to take an increased paper sheet size.

The investment will enable the company, which currently has an annual turnover of £1.5million and employs 25 people, to increase its capacity and undertake more top end work such as reports and accounts for design and marketing consultancies.

Brothers Garry and Mike Robinson, who act as joint managing directors, run Centreprint.

Mike Robinson said: "Our old premises comprised five individual units which wasn't great for work flow and didn't leave much room for expansion.

With a larger workspace, a new press and the development of our website we're now looking to seriously expand our business."
