Brookfield Viscometers is operating a full repair and recalibration service from its premises in Harlow, Essex (UK).
Last April the company suffered a plant fire in the production area, when its Polly 566 five-colour 19 x 26 offset press was severely damaged.
Fortunately no one was injured and little damage was done to the other production equipment.
However, last August, Best Buys Graphics installed a six-colour Komori press to replace the damaged Polly machine.
The Komori system runs a 20 x 26 sheet and is able to print six colours or five, plus coating.
At the same time, Recognition Systems installed an ECRM Mako 4 CTP platesetter and in-line processor.
Ty Putman, president of Custom Color Printing and Graphics, said the combination of the two products has increased quality and the speed of production dramatically.
He commented: "Our production turn times have improved and the quality level has increased.
This has enabled us to be very competitive and to provide excellent service and quality.".
